Kinnaird House

This web site gives the History of Kinnaird House in Larbert, Scotland.

The house was built in 1897 for Robert Orr, a Chemical merchant from Glasgow. Orr demolished the earlier house on the site which had been built for the Bruce's of Kinnaird. The house became a Home Guard training School then the Scottish Headquarters of the Polish Army during the Second World War, when there were many Polish troops stationed across Scotland. In 1977 it became a private residence again.
